

Booking Terms and Conditions

By submitting a booking request with Makeup by Sascha, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking Confirmation & Payment

Your booking is only confirmed once it has been approved by Makeup by Sascha and the booking fee has been paid.

The booking fee, calculated as a percentage of your total booking amount, will be deducted from your final payment. The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment (for bridal bookings this is due 1 week before your date. Payment details will be sent via email with your invoice.
⚠️ Note: If payment or details are not provided by the deadline, your slot may be released to another client.

Makeup by Sascha reserves the right to decline any booking request without providing a reason.
2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

The booking fee is non-refundable if the client cancels, unless required by law.

Booking fees may be transferred to a new date if your event is postponed or rescheduled, subject to availability.

Reschedules are allowed once only with at least 14 days notice, and the new date must be of the same value and within 6 months. Requests within 14 days are treated as cancellations.

If Makeup by Sascha cancels an appointment, the booking fee will be refunded once cancellation acknowledgment is received from the client.

Once confirmed, all booking details (date, time, location, number of clients, and quoted amount) are final. Makeup by Sascha reserves the right to cancel the booking if any changes are requested, resulting in forfeiture of the booking fee.

Downgrading services (e.g., hair and makeup to makeup only, or reducing the number of clients) may still incur the full quoted price.

Additional services can be added subject to availability and current pricing.
Bridal Bookings:

Cancellations within 21 days of the wedding result in forfeiture of the booking fee.

Reschedules follow the same 14-day/6-month rule above.
3. Final Payments & Consumer Rights

All payments are final and non-refundable, including part-payments and booking fees, except where required by Australian Consumer Law (e.g., if a service was not delivered or caused significant harm).

Refunds are not provided for changes of mind, personal preference, or failure to follow preparation instructions (e.g., hair prep).
4. Client Information

It is your responsibility to ensure all personal and booking information (e.g., name, address, phone number) provided is accurate and up to date.

All information provided will be kept confidential.
5. Mobile Services

Clients must provide a safe and suitable space for service setup, ideally including a table, tall chair, natural light, and access to a power outlet or extension lead (for hair services).

Disorderly behavior or harassment will not be tolerated. Makeup by Sascha reserves the right to cancel a booking if the space is unsafe, resulting in forfeiture of the booking fee.

Clients staying at hotels or locations with limited parking must provide on site parking or clear parking instructions for parking nearby. Any parking fees incurred must be reimbursed by the client on the day (receipts will be provided).
6. In-Studio Appointments

Please arrive on time. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the booking fee. Notify the artist if you are running late.

Trial appointments are recommended for formals and bridal services. Trials are held in-studio only and are charged at the full service rate.

Children are not permitted unless receiving a service or under adult supervision.
7. Hair Styling Appointments

Hair must be clean and dry for styling. Desired styles may not be achieved if hair is damp or wet.

If hair is wet or damp without prior discussion, a fee may be charged to cover additional blow-drying time unless a blow-dry service was discussed.
9. Health, Safety & Client Behaviour

Makeup by Sascha reserves the right to refuse service in cases of contagious illness or unsafe conditions.

Clients must disclose allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions.
-
Children and pets must be kept away from the service area.
10. Media Usage & Content Protection

Makeup by Sascha may photograph or record services for professional portfolio and marketing purposes.

Client names or personal details will not be shared without permission.

Clients may share their own images for personal use, but commercial use requires written permission.
11. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a booking request or paying a booking fee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms apply to all individuals included in the booking, including bridal parties, family members, or additional guests.

These Terms are compliant with Australian Consumer Law.

How do I prepare my skin for makeup?
To achieve a flawless and long-lasting makeup application, proper skin preparation is essential.
In the weeks leading up to your appointment, I recommend maintaining a consistent skincare routine including gentle exfoliation 1–2 times per week and daily moisturising.
On the day of your appointment, please arrive with clean, fresh skin that has been lightly moisturised.
For bridal clients, a hydrating facial prior to the wedding is highly recommended for optimal results.
How should I prepare my hair for styling?
Hair should be clean and completely dry prior to your appointment.
It is recommended to double shampoo your hair the night before or morning of your booking, applying conditioner only to the ends unless your hair is coarse or curly.
Hair is styled from dry only — damp or wet hair will require additional time and may incur extra fees.
What inspiration photos should I provide?
Providing inspiration images helps create a look that aligns with your vision.
Where possible, choose images that reflect similar features such as skin tone, face shape, and hair type. A recent photo of yourself can also be helpful.
Please keep in mind that many online images are edited, and your final look will always be tailored to suit you.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please wear something comfortable that is easy to remove without disturbing your hair and makeup, such as a button-up or loose-fitting top.
To avoid product transfer, it is recommended not to wear your event outfit during your appointment.
Do you offer mobile hair and makeup services?
Yes, mobile services are available for bridal and event bookings.
Clients are required to provide a suitable space with access to power and, where possible, natural light. Parking must also be available or covered if paid.
How long does a hair and makeup appointment take?
Makeup appointments are approximately 1 hour.
